About Travel Problem Radar
What it is
An AI model with web search looks for recent, real problems in travel: what travelers complain about, new visa and entry rules, broken booking sites and apps, and industry disruptions. Each one comes with its source and a product idea that could solve it.
How it works
- A sweep runs 1 to 5 times a day on a schedule: at least once, and as often as Pro members ask for. GitHub starts each one, so a sweep can run late when GitHub is delayed.
- Each sweep looks in four categories: traveler pain (booking, airlines, hotels, refunds, loyalty and service failures); government and policy (visa rules, entry requirements, travel bans and tourist taxes); websites and apps (outages, bugs, broken flows and security issues on travel platforms); and industry (strikes, bankruptcies, capacity cuts, overtourism and pricing shocks).
- Free accounts get one email a day: how many findings in each category, and their headlines. Pro gets the live board any time and 1 to 5 emails a day, as many as they choose (2 unless they change it). The sample demo, open to everyone, shows how the board looks.
What it isn’t
The findings are gathered by an AI model and aren’t checked by a person. They can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check each source link before you rely on an item.
Who runs it
Travel Problem Radar is run by Bhawna Mangla, founder of Pehchan the Traveller, a consumer travel website. Bhawna is a product manager: previously product owner for partner and customer platforms at Bajaj Finserv, and product manager for a portfolio of client projects at SmartSites.
Bhawna built the radar to identify problems in travel, work out what can be done about them, and find opportunities in the sector. It’s built with Claude Code, and its code, tests and decisions are public on GitHub. More on LinkedIn.
